3-D Shapes and New Unit!

This past week we have been working on shapes!! We were specifically working with 3-D shapes the other day. I have these great wooden blocks I use to introduce them so kids can actually see the different between 2-D and 3-D!

Then of course we had to sort 2-D and 3-D shape foods. This is what I used, except the cheese and the pepperoni didn't make it into the picture.

Also the kids did this Pinterest inspired activity....they wrote clues about a 3-D shape for their friend to figure out. I of course made my own rules and told them that had to include information about the number of points, line segments, and the shape of the face or faces!!

The kids enjoyed eating their shapes while sharing their clues with a partner!

I also wanted to share a unit we will be using ALL of January...did I just say that! I can't believe I am planning for January!

Each section in the unit has a booklet, activities, craft, and resource!

P.S. I will be having a sale this weekend so be on the lookout for that!

3 more days!!! Woohoo! I am totally ready for a break....the sad thing is it isn't from the kids.
