The 3 F's

FASHION, FIELD TRIP, AND FINALLY!!! My hubby got home from being gone all week so I didn't get the chance to post my Fridays Fashion post, but here it is. This week I wanted to show you how to wear statement jewelry. Instead of showing you completed outfits I decided to just show you what colors work with different types of jewelry.
Lime green jewelry like this bracelet looks great with neutral and pale colors. I paired it with a soft pink and some lace. The lime green really stands out when it is paired with these colors.
This multicolored bracelet looks great with many different colors. When I am working with a piece of jewelry that has lots of colors in it I try to pair it with something of a totally different color. For example I paired this bracelet with navy blue.
Both of these necklaces are quite chunky, but are still very neutral. The colors aren't bright at all. I found that they stand out the most when I paired them with a fun print. They are the prefect accent for my bright safari blouse and navy key dress!
Last but not least is this GREAT peach chunky necklace. This is one of my favorite pieces. I paired it with an eyelet dress. It allows the necklace to be the center of attention. My biggest piece of advice with statement jewelry is to try new things. You never know if a necklace or bracelet will look good with something until you try it out! On to our amazing, but tiring Field Trip on Friday! We look the second graders to Science City in downtown Kansas City! We had a blast. I wanted to share with you something the kids got to make! It was a "soil" treat. They first put in white chocolate chips for the bottom layer of soil, then chocolate pudding for the subsoil, then crushed up Oreo s for the topsoil. They then "planted" a gummy carrot in their soil! They kids LOVED these! I think I am going to steal the idea for my classroom next year!
On to the FINALLY! I am FINALLY done with my Spring masters classes! I turned in my last assignment today! I won't start my summer classes until the end of May. To celebrate I will be posting a freebie sometime this week! Be on the look out for it! I hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend! (I guess I should have called it the 4 F's!) Glitter Words

I'm so glad you loved Science City! We were there on Thursday so we missed out on the Earth Day activities by a day! :) Love the jewelry too. Have you been to a Charming Charlie's store ever? I think it would be right up your alley! Congrats on finishing your Spring masters classes. It is great to get your masters done early in your career!!
